The importance of being “COOL” - The five reasons why it’s so important to be Cool!-๐Ÿ˜Ž

Image
Have you ever thought about the importance of air conditioning and refrigeration? Can you image a world without cooling system? Have you ever thought about the importance of being COOL ?   In modern days it’s so essential to be cool: 1.   Cooling down food for better conservation and less waste The most common, and arguably most important, use for refrigeration is food preservation! In fact, thanks to refrigeration we can make the best use of agricultural resources. In addition, by reducing food losses, refrigeration makes a more sustainable planet! 2. Cooling vaccines and medicines to save lives Refrigeration also has an incredible impact on medical world! Vaccines and medicines can be stored and transported around the world, guaranteeing and saving human lives! 3. Cooling tools for the industry for a more efficient production Industry uses cooling in several processes. Many of the metallic products we use every day are hardened trough a cooling refrigeration p

CO2 technology and Winter Sport Venues: a perfect matching -G. Pisano-

Winter sport venues are very popular in many Countries worldwide. Efficient refrigeration systems are at the heart of such sites as they typically feature large energy draws. Another key driver is connected to comfort and safety of the large amount of people typically gathering thereby. CO2 is non toxic and non flammable so it can be considered as a very good refrigerant for such applications. However, its main limiters were the unavailability of large trans-critical compressors needed to cost efficiently cope with the large duties normally involved as well as possible efficiency penalties for those systems operating all year around, e.g. during warmer seasons. However, with the usual strong focus on market requests, DORIN has once again shaped the future and recently developed and launched the largest CO2 trans-critical compressors range, with displacements up to 60 m3/h and 100 hp electric motor size: this made it possible to cost-effectively introduce CO2 trans-cr

Why invest in refrigeration installations with natural fluids? - S. Mourao -

This is one of the most asked questions lately by owners and managers of facilities that use refrigeration. Among them we can mention Supermarkets, Distribution Centers, Refrigerated Warehouses, Industrial Installations, and even smaller businesses, such as Bakeries and Mini Markets. There are many lines of reasoning, but it is a fact that we need to take actions that protect our planet , and some relevant points that must be considered are:   New F-gas regulations, impose serious obstacles in the implementation of HFCs for these applications, leading to work on a solution that helps to fulfill the goal of the Montreal Protocol, which is to replace HCFCs, synthetic refrigerant gases harmful to the environment, until 2040 in Brazil.   Systems with natural fluids that are being installed today, will not have to undergo retrofit in the coming years.   The new projects with CO2 and Propane, have a small amount of these fluids, which considerably reduces the cost of maintenance.
